Each patient who is new to our office begins with a comprehensive oral examination. During this visit, our dentists take the time to sit down with you to talk through your dental concerns, goals, and health history. We believe in building real relationships with our patients and making sure you feel heard from the very beginning.
Your first exam includes a wide range of thorough evaluations to give us a complete picture of your oral health. These include:
- A complete digital intraoral scan using our iTero digital scanner - this high-resolution scan provides incredibly accurate imaging and allows you to see what we see. It’s a valuable tool that helps us walk you through your oral health visually and involve you in understanding and planning your care.
- Soft tissue screening
- Oral cancer screening
- TMJ (jaw joint) evaluation
- Periodontal (gum health) screening
- Detailed review of your medical history
- Full charting of existing dental work, including fillings, crowns, and restorations
After the exam, we’ll sit down to review your results together, discuss any treatment needs, and work with you to prioritize care that fits your goals and lifestyle.
