Meet the Dentists

Dr. Dan Patterson is a dedicated general dentist who has been proudly serving the communities of Canton and Woodstock, and surrounding areas since 1981. He provides a comprehensive range of dental services and is widely known for his patient-centered approach. Dr. Patterson has earned consistently high ratings and glowing feedback for his attentiveness, thorough care, and the welcoming environment he and his team create. Many long-term patients highlight his exceptional skills and genuine commitment to their well-being.

In addition to running his practice, Dr. Patterson is also affiliated with the Pankey Institute, a prestigious organization known for its advanced training and continuing education in comprehensive and individualized patient care. He holds a Bronze Alumni Membership and serves as facilitator and faculty member at the Institute. His involvement with The Pankey Institute reflects and reinforces his commitment to excellence and lifelong learning- values that are deeply rooted in his dental philosophy and approach to care.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Patterson enjoys gardening, exercising and entertaining. He has been an active member of the Canton Optimist Club since 1982, reflecting his longstanding commitment to community involvement.

Dr. Patterson and his staff also adopted a one-mile section of road at Hickory Road and East Cherokee Drive as part of the Keep Cherokee Beautiful initiative. Along with his wife, Sandy and various team members, he regularly participates in roadside cleanup to help maintain the area's natural beauty. Keep an eye out for their signs proudly stating: 'Don't Trash The Flat.'

Dr. Lauren Burgess grew up in Dawsonville, Georgia, where she learned the value of hard work, community, and kindness from an early age. She attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The Dental College of Georgia. After dental school, she completed a year-long residency in General Practice and Hospital Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she gained advanced training in comprehensive patient care.

Dr. Burgess is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. She believes in a gentle, compassionate approach, listening to each patient’s needs, explaining treatment clearly, and working together to achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. She takes great joy in caring for families and building long-term relationships with her patients.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Burgess enjoys cooking, spending time with friends, and exploring local restaurants and farmers markets. She and her fiancé, Dr. Caleb Jensen, are excited to call Woodstock home and look forward to serving the community together for years to come.

Dr. Caleb Jensen grew up in the Towne Lake area of Woodstock, Georgia, and graduated from Etowah High School. From an early age, he developed a love for working with his hands and helping others, passions that naturally led him to pursue a career in dentistry.

Dr. Jensen attended Augusta University for his undergraduate studies and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The Dental College of Georgia. During his training, he developed a strong foundation in all aspects of general and family dentistry, with a special focus on creating comfortable, positive experiences for his patients.

As someone who has deep ties to the Woodstock community, Dr. Jensen takes pride in building lasting relationships with his patients and treating them like family. He believes in listening first, explaining clearly, and working together with each patient to achieve the healthiest, most confident smile possible.

Outside the office, you can often find Dr. Jensen on the golf course, fishing at a nearby lake, or enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. He and his fiancée Dr. Lauren Burgess are excited to put down roots in the Woodstock area and give back to the community that has given them so much.
